If you spend the time searching across the millions upon millions of websites out there to try and find the content that you’re looking for, shouldn’t that site be easy to use once you get there?

You would think so, but it’s amazing how many site developers either don’t know, or just ignore the fact that other, many times less computer savvy, people are visiting and have to use the site they design. The principal is “user friendly”, and it too bad that so many developers don’t take that into consideration when they are putting together their nice looking, but entirely frustrating websites. The rule of thumb is generally “3 clicks to the target”, however, if those three clicks require the user to think in some enigmatic, 4th dimension web geek frame of mind, then all the clicks in the world won’t matter. Your visitor will be gone before they take the time to try to figure it out.

We know it is a simple concept, but we at ColoteloLee like to incorporate a little used attribute called “common sense”. If the majority of your site visitors think a piece of information should be in an expected place, then it should probably be in that place. Sounds pretty simple eh?

Wait a minute though, how do you know what that expected place is when you’re redesigning the navigation of your site?

That’s where we come in.

ColoteloLee uses well tested and successful resources and best practice methods to determine the best course of navigation for your visitors. This means they will quickly find what they want and it will be where they expect it to be. This is how our clients’ site go from being just another site on the web to being trusted, well documented and widely used sources and resources for their visitors.
